The book includes a series of specially commissioned circuit plans, showing the famous Brooklands circuit in all the various incarnations employed for the endurance races, starting with the original banked ‘oval’, through to the specially devised Campbell Circuit, introduced shortly before the outbreak of World War 2.
Each plan has been meticulously created to scale as a vector image, based upon aerial photographs of the period, Ordnance Survey references, photographic evidence, written descriptions, and eyewitness accounts. The resulting plans are some of the most accurate yet devised, and even include the supporting infrastructure.
